Belgrade Waterfront
Belgrade Waterfront ((セルビア語:Београд на води / Beograd na vodi)) is the name of the construction project headed by the Serbian government aimed at improving Belgrade's cityscape and economy by revitalizing the Sava amphitheater, a mostly abandoned stretch of land on the right bank of the Sava river. It was started in 2014 with the reconstruction of the Belgrade Cooperative building, which was finished in June of the same year.〔 The citizens of Belgrade are mostly sceptical about the project an don't like the design of it. There is a large movement against the project, called "Ne davimo Beograd" (Let's not drown Belgrade).(Geozavod od sutra otvoren za građane ) 〕
It was announced that on 15 March 2015 the apartments from the first two towers being constructed will go on sale. The two towers will each have around 20 floors, and construction is scheduled to started in October of 2015.〔("Beograd na vodi" na predstavljanju u Kanu ) Aktuelno.net 2015-03-10〕
==Overview==
The project was initiated in 2014 between the Serbian government and Emirati investors. Around 3.5 billion € are to be invested by the Serbian government and their Emirati partners.
